Primary Purpose

Pushing large quantities of earth, clearing land, rough grading

Common Attachments

Straight blade, U-blade, Ripper, Winch

Advantages

  • Massive pushing power
  • Excellent traction
  • Works in tough terrain
  • Durable and reliable

Limitations

  • Cannot dig below grade efficiently
  • Slow travel speed
  • Not precise for fine grading

Beginner Tip

A dozer is all about pushing. Think of it as the muscle of the job site.

Best For

Moving large amounts of earth, clearing, rough grading

Not Ideal For

Precision grading, digging below grade, material loading

Common Confusion

Dozers push material but do not dig like excavators. Motor graders are better for precise grading.
